8th grade math

By default, 8th graders are enrolled in High School Math 1. The curriculum is the 9th grade curriculum. In general, most 8th graders are successful in getting the High School 1 credit and are placed in to High School Math 2 as freshmen. In 2023-24, 30 of 32 Pod B 8th graders earned a HS 1 credit. Students who don't receive the credit take High School Math 1 as freshmen with the benefit of having already worked through the material once.
